This standard applies to a heavy-metal-free, water-borne primer.

The primer is suitable for use on steel and light-alloy surfaces aboard ships and on other marine structures exposed to intermittent immersion in salt water. The corrosion-inhibiting primer may be used either alone or with a topcoat.
